The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping Exposes the Troubled Teen Industry

What I didn’t expect when I started watching this documentary, was that the director would be at the centre of the story. Director Katherine Kubler shares how reexamining her trauma led her to discover a broader system of abuse.

A must-watch, for an issue that is still ongoing in America today – and has ruined so many young people’s lives.

Ice cold

The documentary follows the trial of Jessica Wongso, following the suspicious circumstances relating to her friend’s death. It is a very interesting watch. It is one of those documentaries when you don’t know who to side with at the end.

Jefferey Epstein – Filthy Rich

I found it particularly interesting to hear from everyone involved and the years it took, just to get someone to listen to the stories of the many victims involved. A great look behind the scenes of the news stories.

The Innocence files

In my previous Netflix posts, some of the documentaries focused on the mistakes made by law enforcement, in America. This documentary focuses solely on this and exposes the holes in the American criminal justice system.

I watched this series in between other documentaries, as each part focuses on a different story. i like to watch documentaries as part of a series.

Till Murder Do Us Part

This was a very interesting watch. I love documentaries where you have to make up your mind about what took place. Two very highly intelligent individuals blame each other for a crime. Maybe they are very clever or maybe it’s the truth.

Worth a watch.

Trail by media

I find this documentary fascinating and it raises the question of whether media coverage impacts a jury verdict. Something which is regularly debated – because trials in America are televised. This story follows someone who appeared on a talk show and was therefore already known to the public.

I am a killer

This documentary series explores the lives of people who have killed others. The most fascinating part is the circumstances leading up to the act and the perspective of the victims and families. It also brings into question the American justice system, the length of sentences and whether the death penalty is warranted.

I am still watching this series, in between my other programmes. And I love it.

Crime scene: The Times Square Killer

Lover, Stalker, Killer

This one will keep you gripped. You won’t believe the twists and turns which will be thrown your way. An unbelievable story – but this happened to someone.

The best documentary I’ve watched in a while.

Evil genius

This one had me gobsmacked all the way through.

A bizarre plot to mastermind a robbery, but with so many cunning and pretty scary characters behind the scenes. It has me still thinking about who did what.

I hope you enjoyed reading the latest instalment of the Netflix documentaries I am watching currently.
