Alcohol-Free Prosecco – 4 Lovely Ones You Need To Try

It’s national prosecco day 2023 and what better way to raise a glass, than with healthier alternatives, that taste just as good as the real thing?

I’ve recently been on a mission to cut my alcohol intake down. Mainly because it no longer serves me. The cons outweigh the pros. And I have to think about my mental health.

My reasons for drinking less alcohol

Mental wellbeing

As someone prone to anxiety and depression, alcohol only fuels this negative thought pattern.

Reducing physical illness

Suffering from IBS also isn’t great consuming alcohol. And I don’t want to spend the next day, after drinking alcohol, unwell. Being physically unwell also has an impact on my mental well-being.

I no longer need the confidence that comes with drinking alcohol

If you watch any of my TikTok videos, you will see that confidence comes naturally. I suffered from a lack of confidence for most of my life. But after some tough, life struggles and now coming up to almost 40. I simply don’t care what other people think!

Will I stay alcohol-free?

Alcohol-free alternatives to make you feel part of the group

In an attempt to still feel part of the group, but cut my alcohol intake, I’ve gone alcohol-free for the last two weeks. And I intend to stay on track. I would never claim to stop drinking altogether. Maybe one day I will, maybe I won’t. Who knows.

Working toward your goal

Everyone is an individual and depending on the impact alcohol has on you, everyone has their reasons for either drinking alcohol or making the decision not to.

But I think it’s important to take small steps towards your goal. And even if I do drink alcohol again anytime soon, mixing this with non-alcoholic options or driving for two of the occasions we attend each month, will allow me to reach my goal of being healthier and more mentally well. Consuming less alcohol overall would make me feel satisfied at the moment.

Well done supermarkets

Before we get into this post, I need to say a huge well done to the supermarkets I’ve visited recently. ASDA and B&M have huge displays of non-alcoholic drinks. And it’s great to see.

Let’s dive into the review…

Kylie Minogue Prosecco Rose 75cl

I’ve seen the Kylie prosecco everywhere. The bottle looks appealing and I wanted to try it. I don’t usually drink rose when I drink alcohol. As the taste can be too sweet for me. But this bottle is lovely and doesn’t disappoint.

Nozeco Sparkling White

This is one of my firm favourites. Because the taste is similar to normal prosecco, but I would say it’s nicer. I bought this when I was pregnant. It was great to take on our baby moon (holiday booked way before we knew I was pregnant) at a wonderful adult-only lodge park in the Lake District. With a hot tub.

I was also pregnant over Christmas and therefore this was a great addition to make me feel part of the celebrations even though I couldn’t drink alcohol, like everyone else.

Freixenet 0.0% Alcohol Free Rosé

I saw this bottle when I did my recent Sainsbury’s online shop. It’s the brand I love when I do drink alcohol. And the alcohol-free version did not disappoint.

Sainsbury’s Alcohol-Free Sparkling 75cl

This one was lovely to drink and honestly, probably my favourite out of the ones I tried. I will definitely be buying it again.

Until next time

  1. I will have to see if these brands (or something similar) is available where I live as I love the idea of non-alcoholic prosecco! I’m going to look online right now to find some as these would be ideal for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    1. There are loads out there – it’s great.
